& 3-Day Tours

All tours can be tailor-made to fit your desires and schedule. The following are samples of our 1-night and 3-day tours:

SAMPLE 1-NIGHT TOUR
 

Day 1: Leave M'hamid on camel-back and cross 10km of small dunes. Lunch is eaten under a Tamarisk tree. After lunch you will travel in a 4x4 jeep and travel across the desert landscape toward the high dunes. We will visit the Oasis Sacrée which is a small group of palm trees situated around a small water source in the midst of the Sahara that the nomads visit with their herds. Here we will enjoy some peppermint tea. We will then continue our trip to the high dunes of Chegaga. This is the largest group of dunes in the region with heights of 300m and lengths of 40km. Here we will spend the night in nomadic tents (bivouac). Enjoy an authentically cooked dinner with entertainment. 

 

Day 2: After breakfast we will return to M'hamid.

SAMPLE 3-DAY TOUR

Day 1: Early morning departure with 4x4 from the hotel in Marrakech over the High Atlas - Tizi-n-Tichka with a visit to Ait Benhaddou, Morocco's most famous kasbah. Lunch in Kasbah Tamnougalte. The trip travels through the lush valley of the Draa River with millions of palm trees and spectacular views of several ancient kasbahs. Upon arrival at the edge of the desert, we will sleep in a small bivouac at Erg Lihoudi near the town of M’hamid, with a traditional dinner provided. 
Day 2: Morning departure from Erg Lihoudi on the back of the camels into the Sahara. After a 3-hour ride, lunch will be eaten in M'hamid. At 3pm, we travel by 4x4 through a beautiful desert landscape until we reach the high dunes of Chegaga. This group of dunes is the largest of the region and reaches a height of 300 m with a length of 40 km. It is amongst these dunes where we will spend the night in nomad tents. Dinner with entertainment is provided.
Day 3: After breakfast, the return trip to Marrakech in 4x4 will includes the old Paris - Dakar road to Foum Zguid, crossing Lac Iriqui with a lunch break in Taznakht. We will arrive back in Marrakech at approximately 6:30pm.
